It’s a new year, so help us welcome in 2015 by honoring one of our very own, John W. Hohman. John has been with GlobalTranz for the past seven months and has been nothing short of a valued asset, serving as Business Systems Analyst in the Human Resources department.
Prior to working for GlobalTranz, John worked in construction management for the past six years, putting to good use his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Arizona.
Regarding his duties at work, John states, “My bread and butter is making sure all commissions are paid correctly and on time… but I am constantly working on a variety of other projects (as well).” John attributes his success at GlobalTranz to, “all of the terrific people here at GTZ, especially all the HR ladies whom I somehow was privileged with.”
He likes his “great co-workers and managers” most about his job, and John is most proud of overhauling the entire commissions and agents earnings process by “building a bunch of little Excel tools and reports to help people do their jobs more efficiently.”
John’s most memorable moments at GlobalTranz were when upper management took him out to celebrate a successful commissions payroll after only six weeks of employment and smoothly deploying the new agent earnings report on the first try after several months of work.
Born in Las Vegas, Nevada, the majority of his upbringing was in Tucson, Arizona where he eventually graduated from the University of Arizona. When asked what he does in his spare time, he said, “After work I try to get in a hike at Squaw Peak or hit the gym. I play a little golf, take some online classes and travel. Otherwise I’m home hanging out with my cat.”
“John is a great asset to our company. His automation has a direct impact on the company’s bottom line. He understands communicating with all parties to make our projects successful. We are very lucky to have John on our team.”
