December 5, 2013
GlobalTranz is proud to announce the Agent of the Month for December, Edward Lockridge of Freight Nation, from Los Angeles, California.

He says he’s glad that he didn’t listen to them.

by Daniel P. Bearth - Staff Writer
The founder and chief executive of GlobalTranz Enterprises, a fast-growing freight brokerage firm based in Phoenix, said the company has obtained $3 million in working capital from Brown-Savano Direct Capital Partners to fund additional expansion.
Andrew Leto said he plans to increase the size of the company’s sales force and expand services to shippers in the truckload, intermodal and airfreight sectors and also hire additional software developers to create a more advanced “all-in-one” transportation management system for shippers and carriers.
Leto, a Navy veteran, started the company in 2003 after working with his father and brother in a small airfreight forwarding business. “It was hard to grow during that time,” Leto said, in part because of increased restrictions on air travel after the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. “I wanted to get into the brokerage and trucking space.”
