We are delighted to announce Mayra Zazueta as our Employee of the Month for July. Mayra has been with the company for three years now and has since been promoted to Supply Chain Manager. She has excelled in her position due to hard work and dedication. “I don’t easily give up and I like to challenge myself with new duties and responsibilities.”
Among Mayra’s workload, she is currently supervising the SCM Coordinators’ duties making sure they are promptly following up with our customers, agents, and partner warehouses’ requests. She also works with our sales agents, new prospect clients, and partner’s warehouses where she helps build relationships and negotiate rates.
Mayra’s journey to GlobalTranz truly began when she first attended Mesa Community College, where she received her A.A. in Business. She then transferred to W.P. Carey School of Business and obtained a B.S. in Supply Chain Management. She worked part-time for a real estate company throughout school before landing at GlobalTranz. She started as a part-time intern for SCM then transitioned to a full-time position of SCM Coordinator. After just one short year, she was promoted to SCM Supervisor and has recently been promoted to SCM Manager. Mayra stated, she has really enjoyed watching the growth of her department while working for GlobalTranz.
Mayra was born in Yuma, AZ but was raised in Mexico. Her family still lives in Mexico where she visits at least once a month to see her loved ones. She enjoys traveling to new places and discovering upcoming restaurants with her friends. Her future goals include continuing her education and obtaining her MBA.
