Bryan Vangeertry

GlobalTranz is thrilled to present Bryan VanGeertry as the March 2015 Employee of the Month.

Position: Credit Lead

Time with GlobalTranz: 2 years

Prior to working for GlobalTranz, Bryan was involved with administrative work for a Lowe’s nursery saying, I was in charge of thousands of pretty flowers.”  He is an Arizona native and attended both Peoria High School and Glendale Community College.  Go Panthers and Gauchos!

When asked about his success and what he enjoys most at GlobalTranz, Bryan did not hesitate to point to his team saying, “Probably the people I work with. I think the personalities of those around me are what make the day a little less stressful.”

His greatest accomplishment at GlobalTranz was being named to team lead. “There’s definitely been a lot that our department has accomplished as a team, put personally I would say becoming the lead in the department has been the largest accomplishment so far.”

Keeping things light in collections can be a difficult task, but maintaining a fun work environment is crucial to the department’s success.  When asked about his most memorable moment at GTZ, Bryan said, “It’s hard to narrow that down, but I’ll probably never forget the time when the girls in Collections and AR tin foiled my entire desk – from the phone charger to the pictures I have hanging around my cubicle. Everything was tin foiled in, on, and around my desk.”

Bryan would like to continue to grow with GlobalTranz and learn as much as possible.  He thinks it is important to be versatile for anyone to succeed and that, “the opportunity is definitely here.”

When asked about his hobbies, he said, “I’m a family guy, so I love being around my family. I like things simple, although I love long walks on the beach under the moonlight with caviar in hand – I’d prefer nights on the couch with the football game on and steaks on the grill.  Sports are definitely important to me, whether being involved or watching. Go Blackhawks!”

“I can always count on Bryan to complete any task with a positive approach. His attention to detail and willingness to learn allows him to continue to take on additional responsibilities while maintaining efficiency within the Credit Department.”
