Tell us a little about your education.
I attained my Bachelors of Science in Health Education and Promotion, as well as a minor in Biology from East Carolina University. I then received my Masters of Science in Kinesiology from the University of North Carolina.
Where were you working before finding GTZ?
Before Globaltranz I worked as an office manager with Brookdale Home Hospice.
What exactly do your job duties entail?
As a member of the invoice resolution team, I am responsible for researching/ gathering information, developing, and analyzing disputes to send to carriers for discrepancies found with the shipped freight. We work closely with multiple facets of GlobalTranz corporate to ensure a timely and accurate resolution to these discrepancies.
What makes you successful at what you do?
I love research and problem solving. Working in IR provides me the opportunity to engage in both activities on a daily basis.
What do you like most about working for GTZ?
I really like the people at GlobalTranz. From the agents to the corporate departments, Globaltraz has a very diverse and enjoyable work force.
What are some of your past accomplishments while working here?
Being promoted to Lead Invoice Resolution Trainer.
Do you have a most memorable moment at GTZ?
Being promoted and allowed the ability to move up in a growing company.
What are your career goals?
I have the aspiration of moving up within the corporate structure; with the eventual goal of being in management. Globaltraz allows me the opportunity for both growth and development.
Where are you originally from?
I was born in Greensboro North Carolina, however at an early age my family moved to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.
What do you like to do in your spare time? (Hobbies, sports, etc.)
Running is something I find really enjoyable. It gives me the opportunity to clear my mind and focus. I am also a huge football fan! There is nothing better than a lazy Sunday watching the Steelers work towards their 7th Superbowl victory.
What’s something about you that most people don’t know?
I really like to draw, paint and play guitar. I have always enjoyed the arts however it is something that I do not get to spend much time on.
Anything else you feel like telling the GlobalTranz world?
My Grandma always used to tell me “before leaving your house, you should always check your doors for snakes”…I am not really sure what it means, but it seems like sound advice.
