The Midwest Van was officially established in May of 2014 and since then it has grown from $300,000 in monthly Truckload revenue booked to over $2 million. The team supports a variety of customers including facilities for many of our enterprise level customers including Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Talking Rain, Freeport McMoRan, Fiji Water, Henkel and Anheuser-Busch. The substantial increase in business has allowed us to build strong carrier partnerships within the region. We have been able to provide consistent freight to our carrier partners which in turn has improved our buying power. This buying power has resulted in reduced truck costs and increased gross margin.
