Les Carmichael – Retired Transportation and Logistics Executive, Independent Board Member

Les Carmichael recently served as Chief Executive Officer of DenBaste Water Solutions. From October 2007 to November 2012 Mr Carmichael served as Chief Executive Officer of Taylor Companies LLC and in 2012 as Senior Vice President, HSS&E of Gibson Energy Inc. Gibson Energy is a North American mid-stream energy company based in Calgary, Alberta. Taylor Companies is the largest independent crude oil trucking company in the United States. Mr Carmichael joined Gibson Energy in May 2010 as part of the acquisition of Taylor Companies, LLC.

Mr Carmichael has over 39 years of experience in the transportation and logistics industry and has held senior management positions at Swift Transportation Corporation, M.S. Carriers Inc., Maersk and USFreightways.

Larry Cheng – Managing Partner, Volition Capital

As a Managing Partner of Volition Capital, Larry Cheng focuses on investment opportunities in the Internet, software, and information services. Larry currently serves on the boards of Cortera,, Mindshift Technologies, Prosper Marketplace, Stylesight, and Globaltranz. Prior to co-founding Volition Capital, Larry was a Partner at Fidelity Ventures where he led their investments in Verid (acquired by EMC) and Flock (acquired by Zynga). Prior to joining Fidelity Ventures, Cheng was a senior associate at Battery Ventures, where he was an early investor in Ruckus Network, OpenNetwork Technologies (acquired by BMC Software) and Ximian (acquired by Novell). From 1998 to 2000, Cheng was an associate for Bessemer Venture Partners where he focused on software investments. Prior to Bessemer, he was an associate consultant at Corporate Decisions Inc. Mr. Cheng earned a B.A. in Psychology from Harvard College.

Robert J. Farrell – Chairman & CEO, GlobalTranz Enterprises, Inc.

Bob has 30+ years of experience and a proven track record of building high-growth software and technology driven companies.

Prior to GlobalTranz, Bob served as president and CEO of Kewill. Kewill is a global leader in multimodal transportation management software, providing organizations with a comprehensive end-to-end platform for managing the complexities of transportation, logistics and trade compliance.

Prior to Kewill, Bob served as president and CEO of EDGAR Online, a leading global provider of XBRL software, services and data that was acquired by RR Donnelley & Sons (NASDAQ: RRD) in August of 2012. Prior to EDGAR Online, Bob served as Chairman and CEO of Metastorm, a leading provider of Business Process Management (BPM) enterprise software and solutions that was acquired by Open Text (NASDAQ: OTEX) in February of 2011. Farrell also served as President of Mercator Software, a provider of enterprise application integration solutions; COO at LeadingSide, a global provider of unstructured data solutions, and held executive management positions at Computer Horizons Corp., a provider of IT services and solutions.

Additionally, Bob is currently a Senior Advisor at Providence Equity focusing on investments in technology-enabled service companies. He is also an experienced non-executive outside Board member. He currently serves on the Board of Billtrust, the premier provider of Payment Cycle Management solutions, and Kitchen Brains a pioneer and global leader in the development and deployment of integrated, end-to-end, wireless M2M networking solutions and SaaS applications for the commercial kitchen/food service industry. Previously, he served on the Board of FolioDynamix, an award winning SaaS provider of investment management programs and wealth management platform solutions to financial services organizations that was acquired by Actua (NASDAQ: ACTA) in November of 2014 and on the Board of I.D. Systems (NASDAQ: IDSY), a leading global provider of wireless solutions.

Mark E. Hastings – Managing Director, Providence Strategic Growth

Mark Hastings is a managing director and head of Providence Strategic Growth. He is based in our Providence office. Prior to joining Providence in 2013, Mr. Hastings most recently served as managing partner and founder of Garvin Hill Capital Partners. Prior to spinning out of CIBC to form Garvin Hill in 2009, Mr. Hastings led CIBC’s technology focused growth equity team in the United States. At CIBC, he developed the successful investment strategy and recruited the team. He was the primary deal originator and investment team leader. Prior to joining CIBC, he was a principal and general partner at BCI Partners. Mr. Hastings started his investment career at Edison Ventures. He received a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts from Colorado College.

Ben Weinberg – Director, Susquehanna Growth Equity

Ben Weinberg is a Director with Susquehanna Growth Equity, a private equity fund affiliated with Susquehanna International Group. SGE makes investments in growth equity and buyout opportunities in software and technology-enabled businesses. Before joining SGEP, Ben was a Principal at Element Partners, a growth equity firm with $800m under management, where he led investments in software, services and manufacturing companies. Prior to that, he was an Associate on the Technology/Media/Telecom team at Citigroup.

His present and prior board positions include Globaltranz, Detechtion Technologies, Amp Electrical Distribution, Soleras Advanced Coatings, TAS Energy, iContracts, Field Nation and 10-4 Systems.

Ben graduated with an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Yale University.

Michael Garnreiter – Retired Financial Executive, Independent Board Observer

Michael Garnreiter has served on the Board of Directors of Knight Transportation since 2003 and recently retired from his role as Treasurer of Shamrock Foods Company.  From January 2010 until August 2012, Mr Garnreiter was a Managing Director of a Scottsdale-based financial consulting organization, Fenix Financial Forensics LLC.  Mr Garnreiter is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Audit Committee of Taser International, Inc.; Chair of the Audit and Governance Committees for Amtech Systems, Inc. and a member of the Board of Directors of Banner Health Systems, a nonprofit multistate hospital system based in Phoenix, Arizona.  Mr Garnreiter also formerly served as the sole Director of Syntax Brillian Corporation, and as Chair of the Audit Committee and member of the Nominations and Governance and Compensation Committees for IA Global, Inc., an Asian business processes outsourcing company.  He was previously the managing member of Rising Sun Restaurant Group LLC from 2006 until January 2010 and President of New Era Restaurants, LLC from 2008 until 2009, both of which are privately held restaurant operating companies.  From 2002 to 2006, Mr Garnreiter was also formerly the Executive Vice President, Treasurer, and Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) of Main Street Restaurant Group, Inc. (“Main Street”), a publicly held restaurant operating company.  Prior to joining Main Street, Mr Garnreiter served as a General Partner of Arthur Andersen LLP (“Arthur Andersen”).  Mr Garnreiter began his career with Arthur Andersen in 1974 after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from California State University at Long Beach.  In 1986, he became the Managing Partner of Arthur Andersen’s Tucson, Arizona office, and he was a Senior Audit Partner at Arthur Andersen from 1986 to 2002.

Mr Garnreiter is a Certified Public Accountant in California and Arizona and became a Certified Fraud Examiner in 2010.  He offers financial and managerial expertise gained from the various executive and supervisory roles he has held throughout his career.  Mr Garnreiter has held positions as a Director of several publicly traded and privately held companies.

Thomas Smith – Managing Director, Savano Capital Partners

Tom has more than 20 years of experience in the venture capital business, spanning early- and expansion-stage venture investing, as well as large leveraged buyout transactions. Prior to founding Savano, he was a co-founder and General Partner of SmithDefieux Capital Partners, a pioneer of venture direct secondary investing. Before SmithDefieux, Tom was General Partner with Mid-Atlantic Venture Funds, where he led several highly successful early-stage technology and Internet-related investments.

Previously, Tom was General Partner with Edison Ventures, where he co-directed the firm’s highly successful communications investment portfolio. He started his career as Vice President of Chase Manhattan Capital Corporation, the private equity affiliate of The Chase Manhattan Bank, where he worked with Gus Koven.

Tom served as a Director of the Mid-Atlantic Venture Association for 12 years. Tom earned his MBA, Beta Gamma Sigma, from U.N.C. Chapel Hill and a BS, Magna Cum Laude, from Elizabethtown College.
