Amy Cook was one of the first key hires brought on to Cerasis in May of 1998, when Cerasis was named Logistics Management Services. As Carrier Relations Manager, Ms. Cook oversees the development and maintenance of Cerasis relationships to our carrier base. This includes both regional and national LTL freight carriers, Truckload freight carriers, and small parcel freight carriers.
Because of her longevity with the company as one of the first employees, Amy’s knowledge base and intimate understanding of our long term relationships with carriers allows her to leverage years of experience and thousands of man hours to better advocate for our customers to the carriers and to negotiate lane-specific freight carrier rates benefiting both our customer and partner freight carriers.
Furthermore, Amy and her team are responsible for maintaining all carrier records and ensuring accuracy within the Cerasis Rater.
Before coming to Cerasis, Amy honed her contract negotiation skills, attention to detail, ability to analyze data and relationship building skills as a paralegal working for an attorney.
Amy, her husband, and daughter live in Houston, Texas. Amy loves sports but favors college sports – softball, football, and baseball – but also enjoys Major League baseball. Most of Ms. Cook’s free time is spent watching her daughter play softball or relaxing at the beach.
